Every search engine uses an algorithm, or set of instructions, to figure out which pages rank highly and which pages go to the bottom of the pile. A crucial part of this algorithm is whether or not the search engine can easily browse through your website's code.

In this respect, search engines are quite impatient -- if the code's not easy for them to process, they move on, leaving your website in the dust.

At Web Design US, every line of code we write is designed with search engine friendliness in mind. This means:

• Link names in plain English. Link names are the part of the web page address after the .com/. Short, concise link names written in plain English are easy for both search engines and your potential clients to understand.
  
  
• W3C code validation. Poorly written code is frowned upon by search engines. Incidentally, it also makes your website slower and more bug-prone. Needless to say, all our code is validated according to the international standards set down by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
  
  
• CSS styling. Not only does it make for gorgeous, dynamic websites, but using the CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) styling method allows for pages with less code and faster run times -- search engines eat this up.
